Park & Cedar Intersection
Looking West

This Park & Cedar view shows part of the Beaudry Block on the right, and part of the J.P. Stagg Furniture Building on the left. The Stagg building and others were demolished in the early 70s to make way for the 4-story
First Security Bank Building and parking lots.

Beaudry Block

The Beaudry Block was on the northeast corner of Park and Cedar St., (large building on the right).  Note the large onion dome at top of building.  This dome was gilded in copper and had weathered and oxidized to a dull green verdigris.  The spot where this building stood is now
just east of the Chamber of Commerce site.

Skating Rink

The City Common Skating Rink was renamed
Kennedy Common after JFK's assassination in 1963."
